The shower and Jacuzzi tub in the history and the public 
showers with whirlpool tubs as well, were not always done so. Suffice it to say that the bathtub had not initially connected to a pipeline of hot and cold water, but rather was just a large tub in which to immerse the body in hot / warm.
Keep in mind that initially it was going to wash directly into streams or where there was warm water on the fire, which was then used mostly to remove the dirt with sponges.
The bathroom itself, in a tub with hot water, oils and scented soaps, we have had during the Roman and Greek public baths and spas, and the era of the Risorgimento. In the days in between there bathrooms have been many similar, but never developed as in these two eras.
The shower is also mostly an invention of the late 19th century, when in fact they started to use the pipelines for water, initially cold and then hot even with the improved technology.
We must say that today we are very lucky, especially in the options for the showers to baths, whirlpool just think that in addition to improving the cleanliness of the body, it also manages to completely relax.
